‘Guide me, God. What is your purpose for my life?’ Nimisha recently shared her story with us, including how she came to be a Licensed Lay Minister (LLM). When her vicar initially suggested LLM training, she was unsure how she would manage it. But through God’s provision and the help of those around her, she stepped into her calling. A celebration of God’s transformational love in Sneinton
Thursday evening was a joyful occasion at St Stephen's Sneinton, as Revd Lynda Blakeley was licensed by Bishop Andy, installed by Archdeacon Phil Williams as the Priest-in-Charge of St Stephen with St Matthias in Sneinton. Lynda began her ministry at St Stephen's in 2021, and this special service was a wonderful celebration of many stories of God's love and hope in the parish over the past few years. Following God’s Voice – Georgie’s Living Hope Story
“I dropped everything and moved to Nottingham, because this is where God was speaking to me.” Georgie sat down with us to share her story of how she’s been following God’s call over the past few years. Graduating during the coronavirus pandemic, Georgie’s plans had to change, but she met with God in unexpected way and following his voice to Nottingham. “God brought people to my door, and we'd sit and chat for hours about Him.” When we sat down with Josie to hear her story, her joy in sharing Jesus’ love with her friends was infectious. Josie is a student in Nottingham, and after realising for herself how much she needed God in her late teens, over the past few years has had lots of opportunities to share her faith with her friends at university. A life-changing detour – Neil’s Living Hope Story
“Since that day my life has been changed.” Neil recently joined us to share his story of how a detour on his way to the gym when he was struggling with poor mental health, led to a life-changing encounter with Jesus. Since walking into church when he felt he had nothing to lose, he has felt a weight lifted and discovered the Living Hope of Christ. Neil is based at Holy Trinity Lenton.
