St Mary Magdalene is proud to have achieved the A Rocha Bronze Eco Church Award, an introductory certification recognising churches in England and Wales that demonstrate a foundational commitment to environmental stewardship and caring for creation. Encouraging Stories from FUEL Gatherings Across the Diocese
FUEL is a monthly evening gathering that brings together youth groups from across Nottinghamshire to worship, pray, and hear a Bible message. FUEL Central was originally started by Trinity Church Nottingham and Tanya Wilson (Emerging Generations Pastor at Trinity), and the vision has since grown across the diocese, with gatherings now taking place in Newark, Worksop and Wilford. All Saints Huthwaite It was an uplifting and encouraging morning on Sunday as Bishop Andy confirmed six candidates at All Saints Huthwaite. Bishop Andy’s talk on the parable of the sower prepared the congregation for the confirmations, reflecting on the importance of cultivating “good soil” in which God can grow faith and keeping our eyes fixed on Him. Miners’ Remembrance and Thanksgiving Service at All Saints’, Harworth & Bircotes
All Saints’ Church, Harworth and Bircotes, together with the communities of Styrrup and Hesley, gathered on Sunday 25 January for the Miners’ Annual Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving, giving thanks for the community’s rich mining heritage and remembering those who lost their lives in the industry.
