The First LLM Retreat
The twelve graduating Licensed Lay Minsters have returned from the first ever retreat to mark the end of their 2 years of training.
In the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, they spent time in prayer and reflecting on their time together.
Attendee Jo Smith said, “In the tranquillity of the retreat we had time to listen, pray and show tenderness to each other alongside rest, reflection, and renewal in our laughter together.
In the rest, we walked and talked and ate ice cream in the sunshine. The timelessness of creation amazed us when the cattle lowing broke into the quiet as they laboured and brought calves into the world.
Our awesome guides Richard and James wonderfully brought this season of our LLM journey to an end. We now smile at the memories we share as we wait on God and nurture our LLM birth in this unfolding ministry.”
Trine Pearse added: “I found that God spoke really powerfully this weekend, and I especially found that as there was time to just be together.
A couple of friendships were formed through prayer and listening to God, that all three of us have said has really equipped us for our next stage of diving into our spiritual gifts and ministries and left us feeling encouraged and excited about what’s to come.”
